Former Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson exited Sunday's Detroit-Minnesota game in the first quarter. Now that the Lions know more about the injury, it has been revealed that Johnson will be sidelined for a bit.
Detroit announced on Tuesday that Johnson has been placed on injured reserve due to his knee injury. Johnson reportedly underwent surgery on Tuesday.
"I feel really bad for Kerryon that he's in this situation," Lions coach Matt Patricia told reporters. "But very optimistic going forward."
Unfortunately, it's not the first time Johnson has dealt with injury in his young NFL career. As a rookie, Johnson was placed on injured reserve after playing in 10 games. This season, through six games, he has carried the ball 92 times for 308 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.
