AMD's EPYC Outperforms Intel Xeon By Up To 460% Per Dollar
AMD recently launched their second generation of EPYC processors based on the Zen 2 architecture, which heavily outperform not only their predecessors but also the Xeon competition from Intel, leading to announcements such as the one from the UK government that it will be using AMD's EPYC series of processors for ARCHER2, which is expected to be the most powerful supercomputer of its kind.
